World Relief Germany – The World Neighbors - is currently active in eight countries (Yemen, Jordan, Pakistan, Somalia, Rwanda, Iraq, Syria). We also support the programs of our strategic partner World Relief (USA) in a further 14 countries. Together with our local and international partners, we work in some of the world's poorest and most fragile regions. The main foci of the projects are health, education, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), food security and peace promotion. Our objective is long-term development cooperation. Where necessary, we are also active in emergency and transition assistance.
How we work
World Relief aims to enable local communities to overcome poverty and crisis. Community and institutional development projects, emergency aid, counseling and education serve to support communities with their relief and development priorities. We see culture as a key to sustainability. In our work, we are guided by our ethical principles and our definition of community empowerment. Astute monitoring and evaluation allow us and our partners to determine whether we achieve the agreed objectives and how our work can be further improved.
